Alpaca Farms Celebrate National Alpaca Farm Days

Alpaca farms across North America will invite the public to visit their farms every September to meet their alpacas and enjoy special activities and demonstrations for National Alpaca Farm Days.

Alpaca Owners Associations, Inc. (AOA) invites you to visit their member farms and ranches during National Alpaca Farm Days. On September 29th and 30th, alpaca owners from across the United States and Canada will invite the public to come to their farm or ranch to meeet their alpacas and learn more about the lifestyle they've chosen by raising the fiber-producing livestock.

Guests can interact with the animals, which are safe, pleasant to be around, and soft to pet. Visitors can also experience first-hand a variety of alpaca products at individual farm stores. Products are often made from alpaca fleece, which is as soft as cashmere and warmer, lighter, and stronger than wool. In comes in 16 natural shades which can be dyed in bright colors.

Visitors can also learn how alpacas are a green business opportunity, as they are animals that are sensitive to their environment in every respect!

While most alpaca farms welcome visitors throughout the year, National Alpaca Farm Days are sure to include special activities, live demonstrations and educational opportunities for the entire family.
