Avian influenza

Important advise on how to keep the bird flu out of your backyard poultry flock

Radio editor Jodi Henke talked with virologist Dr. KJ Yoon at Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He discusses how backyard flock owners can protect their birds, flu symptoms to watch for, why the common sparrow might also be a threat, and what might help the situation as the summer progresses.
