Raising Scottish ponies
Living the Country Life Radio Program
As long as there have been people living in the highlands and islands of Scotland -- and perhaps longer -- beautiful Scottish Highland ponies have lived alongside them. They have been used for everything from agriculture, to hunting, to the military, but even today's domesticated ponies haven't completely lost their wild side. Many have retained primitive markings like stripes on the back, shoulders and legs. That's just one of the unique features making these beloved horses so popular.
