Pheasant Fest 2010 Bird Dog Parade

Pheasants Forever's 2010 National Pheasant Fest was held in Des Moines, Iowa and in line with tradition, the event was kicked off with a Bird Dog Parade. Upwards of 40 different breeds of bird dogs helped celebrate. Enjoy these photos of the parade.

Number one Life Member, Bridget, sprawls out before the parade. This versatile hunting breed has the aptitude to please his master, and they excel as guide dogs for the blind, as part of search-and-rescue teams or in narcotics detection with law enforcement.
