Living the Country Life Radio Program

Listen to this extended radio story about poultry diseases. (MP3 download)

Chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry make a nice addition to any acreage, but they require vaccinations to prevent them from getting sick. One of the most common illnesses poultry face is a bacterial infection called coccidiosis. The disease is spread by contact with droppings of infected birds, so if one animal gets sick, the entire flock is at risk. It can stunt growth and even kill birds. Listen to the Living the Country Life radio program for the signs and symptoms of coccidiosis and other poultry diseases.
