    Conley Nelson and wife Kim live on an acreage near Algona, Iowa. They have a beautiful view of a neighbor's pond from their back door, which makes for a great spot to watch for wildlife, including deer.

  • Turkey crossing

    Gerald and Margaret Razus live on 50 acres of wooded land in North Judson, Indiana. They enjoy watching the wild turkeys come eat at their birdfeeders. This particular day, nine of the wild birds came to dine. Deer, possums and raccoons are other frequent visitors. "It is so picture-perfect and quiet," they say.

  • Bathing beauties

    John and Janet Stephens ran a pipe from their air conditioner to this birdbath, so it's continually supplied with fresh water from the condensation. John says he's seen nine bluebirds in the bath at once, and up to 29 in the yard surrounding it. A pair of mockingbirds also frequent the birdbath.
