Options for metal sheds

Just because a shed is made of metal doesn't mean you can't put some holes in it. If you have metal drill bits, it's not hard to hang traditional shelving. It's as simple as adding the right size bolt, nut, and a washer for support. No confidence with tools? Walker says the power of magnets is a great option for metal sheds.

"Magnetic shelves or racks are pretty strong, and pretty easy to put up," Walker says. "I would check into magnetic shelving options for organizing metal sheds."

Plan to organize space above your head, too. There are different kinds of loft shelves that can be mounted below the ceiling, adding an attic to the building and even more square footage.
