Holiday outdoor lighting

Living the Country Life Radio Program

Decorating your home for the holidays can be an enjoyable activity, but it's important to be cautious when working with outdoor lighting. To create a display that's both safe and attractive, read the directions on the decorations you select to guarantee that the lights are suitable for outdoor use and compatible with your home's electrical system. Cords should be checked for signs of damage on an annual basis, and replace strings with exposed wires or many broken lights. Cold weather and curious outdoor wildlife can cause a great deal of wear and tear on your holiday decorations, potentially leading to dangerous electrical mishaps.
