Making maple syrup

Brad Schmidt and his family love spending time outdoors on their Wisconsin acreage. This photo was taken at his sister-in-law's place, also in Wisconsin. Here, Brad and his in-laws, Rodney and Corinne Dix, and his daughters, Corrtney Jane and Callie Sue, participate in one of their favorite springtime activities, making maple syrup. "We spend two to three weeks making maple syrup," Brad says, "collecting the sap each night and sitting around the cooker on the weekends saying, 'What a great place to be.'"
