Starting garden seeds indoors lets you enjoy the fun of gardening while it's still cold outside. You can buy seeds at your local garden center or order them from a catalog or website, giving you a much wider selection than if you were just buying plants in the spring. You'll spend less, too. Heirloom seeds are a good choice for tasty, unique vegetables and old-fashioned flowers.
