Tony Korelja has walked this property in upstate New York, south of Cooperstown, since he was a kid. When it was listed for sale 8 years ago, "I could not let it pass by," he says. One improvement he's made to the mostly wooded 55-acre property was adding this pond, seen here shortly after it was dug. "I once was able to walk the streams in the area and fish," 62-year-old Korelja says. "I guess I felt that if I can't get to the water, I will bring it to me."
