    Authentic barn raising

OakBridge Timber Framing built the main structure of the home, and held an authentic barn raising to complete it. Families gathered for a catered Amish lunch, while everyone took a turn hammering in a dowel that pieced together the home.

    Quiet and scenic view

One of the family’s favorite things about this home is the French doors that open to their screened in porch. “We spend many early evenings enjoying the quiet and view of our backyard pond,” says the family.

    Building on family land

With the opportunity to build on family land, the family found the perfect location on the scenic property. “Our father/father-in-law is an experienced builder and was eager to take on a new project. We were excited and fortunate to have his experience leading the building of our new home,” the homeowners say.

    Iron railings

A special touch to the home was the wrought iron railings. They finished off the sprawling back deck and were created by a family member. This special touch added to the already scenic view.
