New grilling tools

My husband Bob and I argue over which of our two grills to use to make supper. I like the taste from a charcoal grill, and he likes the speed of a gas grill. One thing we both agree on: having the right tools for the job. Long-handled tongs and forks are a must, and a thick oven mitt is a good idea, too.
There are a number of other cool grilling gadgets on the market. Jeff Norling works for a barbecue tool company and says this year, anything "green" is in. Tools like spatulas and tongs made from bamboo and recycled stainless steel are flying off the shelves. Even grill cleaners are going all-natural.
"Instead of using something corrosive and damaging, you spray it on the grill, you clean it up, it's totally biodegradable, 100% natural," Norling says.
Now, to see if that T-bone is done or not, there's a new rubber twisty-light for late-night cookers.
"It's just a little magnetic light and you attach it to your tool so you can grill at night without having something clunky laying around," Norling says. "You can also take it off your tool and you can wash your tool you can put it on your basting brush, that type of thing."
