Grilled Strawberry Shortcake
4 1/2 cups strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 (10.75 ounce) frozen pound cake, thawed
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
In medium bowl, combine strawberries and sugar. Mix well. Set aside. Slice pound cake into 12 slices. Grill on contact grill until golden brown grill marks appear. On 6 plates layer 1 slice pound cake, 1/4 cup strawberry mixture, 2 tablespoons whipped topping. Repeat layers. Garnish with remaining strawberries. Makes 6 servings.
