The country wave
Living the Country Life Radio Program
Although living the country life has many perks, building a sense of community can sometimes be difficult for the rural homeowner. When you're physically separated from your neighbors, it's often necessary to make an extra effort to encourage communication. The country wave, perhaps accompanied by a friendly smile, is one way to accomplish this. However, it's important not to be offended if your wave isn't automatically returned. Perhaps your neighbor is simply thinking about the upcoming harvest or contemplating ways to landscape his new pond. Regardless, you can be assured that your efforts to build a safe and friendly community will eventually be rewarded.
