Arctic Cat Partners with National FFA Organization
Through a partnership announced October 28, 2015, the recreational vehicle company, Arctic Cat, and the National FFA Organization will create programs to benefit local FFA chapters through participating Arctic Cat dealers. The programs will allow dealers to help FFA members through grants and raising awareness. Arctic cat dealers will help chapters with local events, training, and by providing youth scholarships.
“The FFA creed begins with these powerful words: ‘I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds,' " says Greg Williamson, chief marketing officer at Arctic Cat Inc. "Arctic Cat and its dealers share this conviction and, through this new partnership, will support FFA members financially and through targeted promotion."
Arctic Cat also plans to promote FFA on its website and other forms of media. “With more than 23 million jobs in the U.S., agriculture is our country’s largest employer and the backbone of our nation,” says Williamson. “FFA plays a critical role in the agriculture industry and the success of youth who aspire to be farmers, teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. Arctic Cat will help grow and strengthen the future farmers of America through our participation in FFA’s grant program.”
The main goal of the partnership is financial support. With funds coming in from Arctic Cat, and more awareness of the organization itself, resources for FFA members will be more readily available and can be sent exactly where they are needed.
Arctic Cat had many of its all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and side-by-sides on display at the National FFA Convention and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, October 28-31, 2015, and has begun promoting FFA on the Arctic Cat website and other media outlets.
“We are thankful to Arctic Cat for being a supporter of the National FFA Organization and for raising financial support and community awareness about FFA,” says Molly Ball, National FFA Foundation president.
