Putting UVs and ATVs to the test - Cub Cadet 4x4

Among the vehicles tested was the Cub Cadet 4x4. Fortunately, our evaluators had a variety of riding conditions, from dry and dusty to wet and muddy, to get a good feel for its capabilities.

Draft and stability test

Our engineers performed draft and stability tests on each of the vehicles. The average speed, draft and horsepower test measured from the speed of the front wheel of the towed vehicle. Tipping tested with full fuel tanks and no driver, passengers or cargo.

Tipping angles (1)

  • Left Tip Angle (2): 44 degrees

  • Right Tip Angle (3): 45 degrees

  • Front Tip Angle (4): 42 degrees

  • Rear Tip Angle (4): 35 degrees

Average speed, draft and horsepower (5)

Average Speed (6): 5.5 mph

Average Draft (7): 560 lbs.

Average Draft Horsepower (8): 8.3 hp

Peak Draft: 1,130 lbs.
