Controlling rodents in outbuildings

Living the Country Life Radio Program

Since they can destroy crops and spread disease, controlling the rodent population is an important task for any rural homeowner. Fortunately, there are many ways you can deal with this problem. In most cases, simply eliminating openings in feed storage or processing areas and establishing a protective gravel rock barrier around buildings will be useful. Also survey your property to identify and remove potential nesting sites. Baiting and trapping are highly effective, but care must be taken if you have pets or small children nearby. It's important to make sure you read the product directions carefully in order to avoid tragic accidents.
