Building a floating island in your pond
Living the Country Life Radio Program
Even though they were once considered nearly extinct, trumpeter swans are making a big comeback. To attract these beautiful birds and other wildlife to your property, construct a floating island that they can use as a rest stop. Whether you build an island from old telephone poles or PVC pipe, it will give wildlife protection from predators as well as a safe place to call home. Look forward to neighboring with swans, geese, ducks, frogs, salamanders, fish, and turtles.
