2007 Census of Agriculture
Living the Country Life Radio Program
The Census of Agriculture, taken every five years by the USDA, is a complete count of US farms and ranches and the people who operate them. The Census looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditures and many other areas. You may have recently received a 2007 Ag Census form in the mail. If a form is sent to you, you're required by law to fill it out and return it by February 4, even if you don't farm. Or, if you prefer, you can use the code on your form to fill out the survey online. The results will provide USDA with an accurate picture of what's going on in rural America, and will help the government make decisions about future grants and other issues.
