When Eric and Catharine Johnson saw an opportunity to buy some land in Kearneysville, West Virginia, they took it. The couple discovered that Catharine's ancestors owned that very same ground in the 1740s. The farm is named Southwood after the name of the folks who built a stone house there in the 1790s.
