The Mingo

With heating costs on the rise, the use of alternative heating methods has soared. The Mingo marking system is an effective paint-marking tool that can be used in a variety of ways, including marking firewood. With four different measuring wheels to choose from, The Mingo measures and applies an intermittent spray of paint every 6, 12, 14, 16, 18, or 24 inches apart. Users hold the comfort grip handle and roll the unit along any surface to be marked. This versatility allows for precision marking of firewood to the lengths that accommodate the firebox of a stove.

The tool can also be used for marking underground utilities, perimeter building foundation layouts prior to excavation, landscape routs, rebar and construction. The Mingo is useful with many brands of round-nozzle inverted marking paint cans. Due to the efficient manner in which paint is sprayed, users can expect to mark over 75 cords of firewood, or up to five miles per can.

The Mingo is a measuring tape and marking stick all in one, allowing firewood cutters to mark logs faster for cutting. Blocks of wood cut to equal lengths will not only stack nicer and neater in the wood shed, but burn cleaner and more efficiently in the firebox.
